DTR PAC Montana Senate Race: the real MAGA candidate versus the uniparty's choice.

With No Trump Endorsement...
The Montana Republican Senate primary continues to heat up.
Matt Gaetz campaigns in Montana for another MAGA Congressman, Matt Rosendale.
While Congressman Matt Gaetz travelled to Montana to campaign for and alongside Congressman Matt Rosendale, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene splashed out her endorsement of uniparty Mitch McConnell's preferred pick for the Senate seat: wealthy businessman Tim Sheehy.
Matt Gaetz and Utah Senator Mike Lee have both been public about their support of Rosendale's bid to take on Democratic Senator John Tester for the Montana Senate seat.
Marjorie Taylor Greene's endorsement of Tim Sheehy last Saturday left many to wonder how MTG could so enthusiastically align with the 'Big Sky Billionaires' candidate over a tested conservative. Remember, Sheehy had to scrub online comments about climate change and funding Ukraine before announcing his candidacy.
The big question everyone is asking is "Who will Trump endorse?"
The answer in the primary appears to be 'no one.'
Trump's aides have quietly said that Trump is expected to weigh in on fewer races this cycle than he did in 2022 when multiple candidates Trump endorsed lost. (Polls showed a massive Red Wave in 2022 – but the same election 'irregularities' were in play in the midterm elections as in 2020.)
President Trump is undoubtedly being told Sheehy is the stronger Republican candidate because Rosendale lost to Tester in 2018. Using that logic, Trump shouldn't be running again in 2024, and Ronald Regan wouldn't have run again in 1980.
Fact: Montana is even more Republican this year than it was in 2018, and the American public is more attuned to combatting election fraud.
Fact: Matt Rosendale is a solid MAGA Congressman, a true fiscal hawk, who has won statewide office more than once, both as state auditor and from his At-Large Congressional district seat. Senator Tester himself has warned people not to be complacent about Rosendale.
The real culprits in this primary dilemma are Mitch McConnell and NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) Chairman and Montana Senator Steve Daines who, rather than stay neutral, are backing Sheehy. In the past, the NRSC was neutral in an open GOP primary. But under Senator Daines' chairmanship, the NRSC is picking sides, and they aren't picking the America First side.
Possibly, Sen. Daines' personal calculation is that if a conservative fiscal hawk like Rosendale is serving besides Daines in the Senate, Rosendale's actions and votes would highlight the inaction on Daines part to Montana voters. (Think of what it was like for recently retired Missouri Senator Roy Blunt to have the junior Senator from Missouri be conservative firebrand Josh Hawley.)
The Montana Senate primary is so critical - the difference between real MAGA and the uniparty in disguise - that Donald Trump should endorse in this race, and he should aggressively campaign for Rosendale.
Why is the Montana Senate race so important?
The Montana Senate race is one of three most likely pick-up seats for Republicans, the other two being Arizona and West Virginia.
It's no exaggeration to say Montana is one of the most important electoral races in the country, especially given the stark differences between the two Republican primary candidates.
It's too late for Sheehy to hide his past support for ESG and Chinese investments.
News sources continue to focus on Sheehy's alignment with big corporate interests over the America First movement.
"Multi-millionaire businessman Tim Sheehy, the Republican establishment's anointed candidate to challenge Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) in 2024, appears to have built most of his wealth through corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) schemes, government contracts, and investments with companies linked to the Chinese Communist Party"...
"Aside from his involvement in the corporate ESG agenda, Sheehy — until recently — held investments in foreign companies with deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Throughout 2023, Sheehy sold off shares he held in the Chinese tech conglomerate Tencent. The technology company that owns WeChat has deep ties to the CCP's intelligence and propaganda apparatuses."
